This festive season, traffic safety campaign, the call to donate blood as the bank needs more. These came to my mind when I heard someone talking about the cases that he handled at the hospital. How about that?
And here I am, always wanting to go to any blood donation drive but the advertisements are scarce and difficult to locate. I thought that we should have one that we can refer to on the blood donation drive. It doesn't matter whether it is by the government hospitals or the private hospitals. The purpose is to save lives.
Therefore, I am suggesting that there be a website by the Blood Bank, that assists the hospitals to advertise and the public to refer easily. Who should be approached to make it a reality? And what say you?

you know, you can always just pop by any hospital and tell them that you want to donate blood. you don't have to wait for a blood donation drive.
Thanks Anonymous. But popping by a hospital means spending some time to be referred to the right person and department. Waiting is one of the factors making us think many times (not only twice, especially government hospitals).
Oh no, what is this thing about being referred to the right person?? Just proceed straight to the blood bank of any government hospital and you will be attended to immediately. If u r a first timer, then perhaps it takes some time.. like getting your blood group..etc etc. Anyway, to spend some time to do a noble act like donating blood is reward enough. I for one, wouldn't mind lying on the chair for a full 90mins!! You might think I am joking, but it is true, because I am not a normal full blood donor, BUT an APHERESIS BLOOD PLASMA AND PLATELET donor.a process that takes more than 90mins. And I can donate twice a month.. Nevermind the wait, cos' IT SAVES LIVES!!!
