For Fear or Favour?

So much talk has been about the legal fraternity in Malaysia. The judiciary of course takes the first place at present. The revelation made by a judge displaying how fearful he was makes another point to be taken. Read this. Everyone seems to be opportunist nowadays.

One thing that puzzles me is that, the legal framework is based on the principle that justice is to prevail without fear or favour. How are we to further acknowledge a judge or a lawyer for the very noble idea of justice when this salient value fails to exist.

I understand Matthias Chang's point on revealing the second letter concerning an ex-judge. And now this judge. Does he have the judge-quality?

Hey Judge,

What's your take on Justice Ian Chin? Shouldn't Zaid Ibrahim as de facto Law Minister say something more on the High Court judge's conduct?

Ho ho ho Rocky, for pointing this out.

Yes, he should. The de facto Law Minister is trying to maintain consistency. Just hope he won't stumble as he is seemingly missing some salient points.
